After hours veterinary care
Catelyne has recently joined us from South Africa where she worked at the university in the Onderstepoort Veterinary Academic Hospital which is the number one veterinary school in Africa. Catelyne worked in emergency and critical care and was also a theatre nurse for the veterinary specialists at the University. She is vastly experienced and is truly a super nurse. She is originally from South Africa where she got her Diploma of Veterinary Nursing, BSc. Zoology & Honours Degree of Biological Sciences in Wildlife Management. Catelyne’s Favorite animals are Dogs and cats as the give cuddles and unconditional love, she has her own dog which is a small Labrador x dachshund she is black in colour with a grey muzzle and feetsies but at 13 years old that is to be expected.
Catelyne has been a veterinary nurse for over 7 years. She has always known that she wanted to work with animals. Catelyne grew up on a farm in South Africa so has always been around animals. Catelyne has always wanted to work with animals and to help them get better when they are sick and injured.
Catelyne loves working at Treendale Pet Medial because of our state-of-the-art facilities, fear free handling and that we share the same values. She feels that her biggest strength is patient care, with her keen eye of observation and attention to detail for her patients.
In her free time Catelyne likes to do macrame and read fiction books. She loves spending time with her family and her animals. Catelyne absolutely adores nature so loves going to the beach and exploring the forest.
If Catelyne won the lotto she would love to own a farm with lots of rescued animals and fly the rest of her family to Australia from south Africa. So that they too could experience the amazing scenery of Western Australia.
It is an absolute joy to have Catelyne on our team. She is vastly experienced and her knowledge and skills are at an elite level from her University training. She is helping to develop our nursing team with the high standards and skills she has acquired through her time as a veterinary nurse. Catelyne is highly intelligent and extremely hard working as well as modest, humble and extremely likeable. We are so glad she chose to come and work at Treendale Pet Medical
