After hours veterinary care
Mae Rose is a 9 week old Golden Retriever puppy. She had her dinner as all Golden’s always do and then decided to have some fun with mum and the family.
The thoroughly puppy proofed house imploded as Mae rose found a chink in the human endeavour to prevent self harm. A nerf bullet lurked in an inconspicuous crevasse. The humans in shear terror chased Mae Rose who dashed under the table like a rabbit down its burrow.
Mae Rose teased her human masters with slobbery offerings of nerf tantalisings as she resisted capture first by mum and then by other members of the family. Emboldened by her trail blazing countervail against capture Mae Rose celebrated by ingesting the nerf bullet whole…………….and Dr Rob was called to action.
A patient was coming that had a life threatening emergency and it was up to us to save the pet. “Ours is not to wonder why, ours is but to do or die”.
Mae Rose wasn’t quite sure what all the fuss was about but such foreign objects can obstruct the intestine leading to major surgery to save her life.
Mae Rose had an injection for ejection of said foreign body. After losing her dinner and the offending insentient object, Mae Rose was returned to her loving family. Disaster averted.
She promises mum she won’t play chasey with things she should not swallow and then swallow them whilst basking in glory.
The great news for our budding food fiend is she had a second pass of the food buffet for dinner………minus the nerf bullet. Treendale Pet Medical saved the day. Your best friend is our world!
